Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 is the comprehensive picture editing tool for the amateur photographer. Load your pictures or capture images from your screen or scanner, edit them, organize them, store them on CD or DVD, share them, add as many creative effects you can think of, combine them with audio or video, or both, and create your own playlists! Photo Commander 5 supports over 60 different image, video, and audio file formats:
– BMP, EPS, GIF, ICO, JPG, PCT, PCX, TIF, are a sample of the graphics formats accepted. Some well-known proprietary codecs like Casio CAM or Canon RAW images are also supported. This new version 5 includes also full support for JNG files (transparent JPEGs).
– Some of the video formats you can use are AVI, DIVX, MOV, MP4, MPEG and WMV.
– Finally, AIF, MP3, OGG, WAV or WMA are among the audio files supported.
This extensive support of media files plus the new range of effects, tools and adjustments, gives you endless possibilities when editing, organizing and sharing your images or other media files.
Ashampoo Photo Commander gives you a complete suite of “editing” tools to allow you to easily change the size, the position or the colour properties of the image. It also includes a wide range of “creative effects” to let you add new properties to the image (blur, sharpen, pixelize, emboss… to name a few). With the help of the Mouse Tools you will also be able to work on a full screen environment without needed to go back to menus or buttons to find the option you want to use – just click on your mouse for a full list of commands right on top of the image you are editing, and clean that annoying red-eye effect, add arrows, rectangles or callouts, clone specific areas of the image or erase parts of it without losing track of your image. And these Mouse Tools are configurable too!
If you have to apply some of these settings to more than just a few pictures, you may want to use the “Convert images” option, which activates the batch processing function. This will repeat the desired actions in all the image files you need to retouch without going through all of them one by one.
Once you are satisfied with how your images look, you can then make use of the extensive presentation possibilities that Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 offers you. Add a frame to your image, or make it the background of a funny shape, drop a shadow or add some text.
